Ethical Property Company is a for-purpose organisation, with properties across the UK. Thorn House is their property in Edinburgh. The client was keen to understand the strategic situation of their property portfolio on a triple bottom line basis.

EALA has a high level triple bottom line assessment portfolio tool to aid reviewing business planning and action over a portfolio of properties. This is based on the Building Passport, and provides a high level rating of Energy, Environmental, Condition, Circularity, Social Prosperity, Social Resilience. It includes maintenance planning, repairs, improvements, supply chain analysis, community and social impacts, a carbon flow, and plan to net zero. It provides budgets for calculation of service charge and sinking funds. This provides a snapshot of each property, it is recommended to be reviewed every 3-5 years.
